ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: CONTRACTS ESTIMATOR - ELECTRICAL

At Team Power Solutions (TPS), we deliver innovative electrical solutions that power our customers' success. As a Contracts Estimator – Electrical , you will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates for electrical projects. Working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams, you'll develop proposals, evaluate project requirements, and help secure recent business while ensuring exceptional customer service and project success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and proposals by reviewing specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs while obtaining pricing from vendors and suppliers.
  
  
  
  
• Collaborate with customers to understand project needs and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedules, and available resources.
• Monitor project estimates, support smaller projects, and assist in resolving technical or project-related issues.
• Maintain estimating databases, documentation, and proposal records while ensuring accuracy and profitability.

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL

• Experience estimating electrical projects, interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor costing, contracting, and proposal preparation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Capable of managing multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• A collaborative, customer-focused professional committed to quality, continuous improvement, and delivering profitable project outcomes.
  
  
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The position requires a journeyperson designation or an Electrical Technologist Diploma with a minimum 1-5 years of industry experience including quotations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
