Our client is a well-established Canadian contractor specializing in complex foundation, shoring, geotechnical and underground construction projects. With operations across Eastern Ontario and Quebec, the organization delivers technically challenging infrastructure and ICI projects for public and private sector clients.

Known for its collaborative culture, strong project pipeline and reputation for tackling complex engineering challenges, the company continues to expand and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of major projects ranging from $1M to $20M+.

Your new role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, execution and successful delivery of specialized construction projects across the infrastructure, institutional and industrial sectors.

Working closely with senior leadership, field operations, clients, consultants and subcontractors, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously while providing mentorship and guidance to junior project staff and coordinators.

Projects may include deep foundation systems, excavation support, geotechnical works, bridge-related construction, underground works, infrastructure upgrades and other technically complex civil construction assignments.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Developing and maintaining project schedules,
  
  
  
  budgets and forecasts
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Coordinating internal resources, subcontractors and suppliers
• Leading project meetings with clients, engineers and project stakeholders
• Identifying and mitigating project risks
• Monitoring financial performance and cost control
• Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
• Preparing progress reports and executive updates
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Mentoring junior project personnel and supporting project team development

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will bring strong construction project management experience and a desire to work on technically challenging infrastructure projects. Candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

• Heavy civil construction
• Bridge construction
• Geotechnical construction
• Foundations and piling
• Marine construction
• Underground construction
• Concrete structures
• Infrastructure rehabilitation
• Large-scale ICI projects

You will also possess:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within construction
• Strong experience managing projects valued from approximately $1M to $20M+
• Proven budgeting, scheduling and contract administration experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore or similar construction management platforms
• Valid driver's licence. P.Eng., CET, PMP or equivalent credentials would be considered an asset.
