Product Application Specialist - Air Moving Position Summary The Product Application Specialist is responsible for supporting Price Industries’ sales and profit goals related to a specific product category or product. Provide technical support to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the specification and sale of the business unit products, including guidance on application, performance, troubleshooting, competitiveness, sales and pricing of product and services.
The Successful
Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include:
0-3 Months: Familiarizing yourself with Price Industries products, market strategy, sales networks, and day to day engineering workflows.
Spend time training in a hands-on fashion in our Price Research Center North laboratory located at our Winnipeg Head Office.
Begin education on HVAC engineering, air distribution systems, and cursory knowledge of other Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
Support the rest of our Project Engineering Team with fulfilling customer engineering requests and technical product support.
Develop understanding of company software allowing for the sale, specification, and performance generation of our products. 3-6 Months: Deepen knowledge with Price Industries Terminal products.
Develop understanding of internal projects, product releases, marketing and sales goals controlled and executed by our Project Engineering Team.
Grow to support external customers through providing Application Support,
Analysis, Quotation/Bid Support, Submission and Fabrication, and Installation and Start Support. 6 Months+: Support and assist Product Managers, Sales Management, and Account Managers with technical input to achieve the sales goals and penetration strategies for the product category or product.
Support sales force training and events occurring locally in Winnipeg
Support new product development and releases with sales, performance, and research and development processes.
This role could continue to grow to: Support on-site Project Management in the industry by meeting with contractors, engineers, and sales representatives.
Support industry education opportunities including engineering meetings, travel, virtual and in-person webinars and presentations, and product shows.
Participate in industry engineering societies, codes, and standards such as ASHRAE, AHRI, and EGM.
The Ideal Candidate for This Position Will Have: A College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Robust interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
A process driven mindset, self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.
Aptitude and desire for excellent customer service.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables.
The ability to collaborate with co-workers and Managers to resolve issues and conflicts.
