Project Manager – Testing and Change Management

Overview

- Based in the Toronto office, the candidate will be responsible for managing the testing and change management of a Oracle Cloud system implementation for pilot countries and global rollout. The main responsibilities will be to ensure that the testing phases are executed successfully from end to end, reporting results and triage reported defects. This person would also be responsible for tracking and monitoring change management tasks, communications, training, business process documentation that is completed by the business leaders and subject matter experts.
- The candidate will report into the Corporate Information Solutions (CIS) department under the Revenue Solutions Team which works on IT projects for financial systems ranging from system integrations, enhancements, upgrades and replacements, with the ultimate aim of creating efficiencies, eliminating manual processes, automation, and enhancing the user experience for clients and colleagues.
- The candidate may work across multiple projects and interact with clients, business stakeholders, and technology teams across the globe.
- You are a seasoned and principle based project manager, have a good background in financial systems projects, and either currently in a IT project manager/program manager role with Insurance and/or Financial Industry domain knowledge





- Manages moderately complex projects or pieces of a larger project end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction.
- Establishes and manages an appropriate project governance structure, and manages all project stakeholders and project team members in the successful delivery of the project, including managing their tasks, project workload, and deadlines.
- Ensures comprehensive scope document is in place at the start of the project, and continuously reviews the scope document as the project progresses and suggests changes of scope, as appropriate.
- Actively manages all project risks and issues, and ensures lessons learned on projects are shared with colleagues and recommendations adopted are implemented.
- Liaises with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
- Provides accurate and timely cost estimates for project work where requested, together with providing regular reporting on project costs and discuss any cost issues.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with project teams, third party providers, clients, etc.
- Provides technical support and input to the Manager on project proposals of average to difficult complexity.
- Researches and provides recommendations on new best practice standards.

- Driving requirements gathering and testing sessions, getting regular status updates, resource planning, scope management, managing cutovers and managing project budgets.
- Delivery of Oracle EBS implementations, upgrades and Cloud Financials Projects
- Delivering several large and complex implementations/upgrades projects
- Experience leading and facilitating meetings with large number of participants




- Experience working with a distributed team of analysts, developers, and shared services including off-shore contractors
