You will be proud to be a part of this inclusive team living in an exceptional resort area with easy office access to skiing, biking, windsurfing, and swimming in fresh Georgian Bay.This role is based out of two of our locations, one located at 40 Sandford Fleming Road, Collingwood, ON L9Y 4V7 and the other 1800 17th Street East, Owen Sound ON N4K 1Z4.We are currently seeking aHealth and Safety Manager, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.You will be responsible for all Health and Safety functions as it relates to our products that are manufactured and/or distributed by the Company in alignment with Health and Safety guidelines and compliance. This roll will lead teams and support all operations and positive manufacturing practices to achieve company objectives while leading and guiding on the appropriate health and safety practices. This roll will support the safety and effectiveness of our product and meet business objectives in a compliant and timely manner.ResponsibilitiesManage regulatory compliance requirements for possession of chemicals and products in all import and export marketsMaintain positive, professional relationships with all regulators and government officialsManage all Health Canada permits,
foreign registrations and recordsAssist with any other regulatory bodies as requiredSupport the development, implementation, and management of site Health & Safety systems to ensure regulatory complianceDevelop and implement site-specific H&S policies, training programs, and annual training calendarsLead continuous improvement initiativesAct as a primary contact for Ministry of Labour, WSIB, and external consultantsDesign and deliver advanced training programs (LOTO, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, Forklift, Crane, etc.)Manage WSIB claims, liaising with doctors, adjudicators, and employeesAssist with safe and timely return-to-work plans, ensuring compliance with medical restrictionsLead investigations of serious incidents and analyze injury trends to eliminate root causesPresent findings and recommendationsGuide JHSC in pre-start reviews, lockout procedures, and hazard identificationEnsure compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and other regulations through proactive audits and corrective actionsDrive a proactive, interdependent safety culture across the organizationQualificationsDegree in Business Administration or relevant field (e.G., Industrial Management, or Occupational Health & Safety)Minimum of + 5 years of experience in compliance and Health and Safety, and document managementStrong background in analyzing technical documents, interpreting processes and procedures, regulations,
and industry standardsExperience in preparing regulatory submissionsStrong data analysis and statistical aptitudeDemonstrates effective communication with contractors, government staff, regulators, and internal staff at all levelsFull understanding of applicable government regulatory bodiesStrong commitment to regulatory complianceStrong knowledge of OHSA, WSIB, and applicable regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Flexible and adaptable with the ability to effectively prioritize tasksMature self-starter who remains calm under pressureAct with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsExcellent time management and organizational skills; attention to detail is criticalStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be flexible and open to changeIsowater is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
