Calligaris Toronto is a design-focused showroom in Toronto's Castlefield Design District, representing Calligaris — an Italian furniture brand with over 100 years of history in contemporary design. Our 9,000 sq. ft. space serves both residential clients and design professionals, and sits at the intersection of craft, commerce, and considered living.We are a small, specialized team. The people who thrive here know their product, build genuine relationships, and take as much pride in the process as the outcome.The RoleThis is a senior, blended position combining in-showroom client experience with active business development across the GTA design community. You will be equally responsible for guiding clients through furniture projects from first conversation to final delivery, and for building and maintaining relationships with architecture and interior design firms.The right candidate has established connections in the GTA design community, a robust design sensibility, and the ability to manage client relationships and sales cycles independently.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with architecture and interior design firms and specifiers across the GTACreate and deliver product presentations to trade audiencesOrganize and host trade engagements including Lunch and Learns and showroom presentationsExecute social media campaigns to build brand awareness within the A&D communityCurate and support showroom events and product launchesTrack trends, market activity, and key projects across the GTACollaborate with the internal team to support sales efforts and refine outreach strategiesGuide clients through full project development including product selection, material selection, layout, and order processingPrepare sales quotes, specifications, and proposalsProvide in-showroom and in-home design consultations including furniture plans, material boards,



and 3D modelsManage the full sales cycle from specification through order tracking and delivery coordinationRecord leads, client activity, and sales cycles using CRM softwareConsistently meet and exceed monthly sales targetsRetail Sales and Client Development (40%)Guide clients through full project development including product selection, material selection, layout, and order processingPrepare sales quotes, specifications, and proposalsProvide in-showroom and in-home design consultations including furniture plans, material boards, and 3D modelsManage the full sales cycle from specification through order tracking and delivery coordinationRecord leads, client activity, and sales cycles using CRM softwareConsistently meet and exceed monthly sales targetsRequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in A&D sales and luxury furnitureEstablished relationships with architectural and design firms in the GTAStrong communication, presentation, and stakeholder relationship management skillsEntrepreneurial and self-driven, with a demonstrated ability to grow market presenceStrong design sensibility with the ability to translate a client's brief into furniture solutionsProficiency in SketchUp or similar modelling softwareAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and specificationsValid G driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the GTAAvailability to work showroom hours, Monday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, approximately 40 hours per weekGood to HaveExperience with Zoho Suite or QuickBooks.
