We are currently seeking a Junior Interior Design Technologist to join the Calgary Studio to work on federal and corporate workplace projects.

Job Summary The Junior Interior Design Technologist supports the successful delivery of interior design projects through the development of documentation, modeling, and coordination efforts. This entry-level role is focused on the development of strong technical competencies and communication skills through hands‑on collaboration with interior designers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities Design and Documentation

Assist in setting up project documentation, modeling, and specifications across all phases.

Prepare comprehensive drawing packages for permit submissions and construction documentation.

Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, consultant coordination, and compliance with applicable codes and bylaws.

Support product research for interior materials, finishes, and systems.

Assist in the preparation of project building code analyses.

Project Support and Coordination





Liaise with consultant teams and approving authorities under the direction of senior staff.

Attend client and consultant meetings as required.

Participate in site meetings, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration support tasks.

Maintain a strong focus on meeting deadlines, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and following through independently with minimal supervision.

Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.

Team and Culture

Collaborate in a fast‑paced, fully in‑office team environment.

Actively contributes to team discussions around the development of best practices and systems.

Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and effective communication in a collaborative setting.

Able to work in a collaborative, in‑office environment (100% in‑office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross‑functional coordination).

Qualifications

Diploma in Interior Design Technology, Architectural Technology, or related field from a recognized institution.

0-5 years of experience in the production of interior design construction documents.





Proficiency in Revit is required.

Skills in InDesign, SketchUp, and 3D rendering considered assets.

Foundational knowledge of space planning, detailing, materials research, and integration with building systems.
