Experienced Property Services & Housekeeping Specialist
Full-Time | Starting at $28.00 per hour
Mountain Life Concierge | Banff & Canmore, Alberta
Join Mountain Life Concierge
Mountain Life Concierge provides professional housekeeping, property management and concierge services for luxury vacation homes and private residences throughout Banff and Canmore.
As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced, capable and highly motivated person to become an important part of our team.
While professional housekeeping is a major part of this position, this isn't just a cleaning role.
We're looking for someone who is happy to help wherever they're needed. One day may involve preparing vacation homes for arriving guests; another might include checking a property, delivering supplies, helping another team member, dealing with linens, identifying a maintenance issue or taking care of something unexpected for a client.
We want someone who thinks beyond their individual task list and asks:
“What needs to be done, and how can I help?”
We're not looking to hire simply to fill a position quickly. We're looking for the right person — someone experienced, dependable and proactive who takes genuine ownership of their work.
For the right person, there is opportunity to grow with Mountain Life Concierge and take on increased responsibility over time.
What We Offer
- Starting at $28.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and responsibility
- Full-time position (part-time work is also available)
- Approximately 25–40 hours per week, depending on property schedules
- Consistent daytime work
- Most shifts between 09:00 and 4:00 PM
- Paid travel time between properties
- Mileage reimbursement
- All professional cleaning products, equipment and supplies provided
- Company uniform provided
- Organized scheduling and management support
- Variety — you'll work across vacation rentals, private residences and property services
- Opportunity for increased responsibility and career growth within the company
About the Role Housekeeping and preparing properties to an exceptional standard will be a significant part of your job, but we don't want you to think of yourself as “just a cleaner.”
You'll be part of the wider Mountain Life Concierge operation.
That means taking ownership, noticing what needs attention and being willing to step in wherever you can help.
If something doesn't look right, we want you to notice it.
If a property needs something, we want you to communicate it.
If another team member needs a hand and you're able to help, we expect you to help.
If you see a problem you can reasonably solve, we want you to use your initiative rather than assuming it's someone else's responsibility.
We value people who can think for themselves, solve problems
Responsibilities
Depending on the day, your responsibilities may include:
- Cleaning luxury vacation homes and private residences to an exceptional standard
- Preparing vacation rental properties for incoming guests
- Completing final property and presentation checks
- Making and presenting beds to professional hospitality standards
- Laundry and linen management
- Restocking guest amenities and household supplies
- Delivering supplies or items between properties when required
- Completing basic property checks
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or property damage
- Helping coordinate or provide access for maintenance when required
- Supporting other team members when properties require additional help
- Following property-specific checklists and company standards
- Managing your time effectively across multiple properties
- Communicating clearly with the management team
- Helping with other day-to-day property and operational tasks as required
Ultimately, we're looking for someone who understands that if you're part of the MountainLife Concierge team, you help the team get the job done.
What We're Looking For
Previous professional housekeeping or cleaning experience is required, but your attitude and ability to take ownership are equally important.
Experience in luxury hotels, vacation rentals, property management, hospitality or high-end residential housekeeping is particularly valuable.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced and confident working independently
- A genuine self-starter
- Exceptionally detail-oriented
- Proactive and willing to take initiative
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and efficient
- Comfortable solving problems
- Willing to help outside their immediate responsibilities when needed
- Able to see what needs doing without always having to be asked
- Trustworthy and respectful when working inside clients' homes
- Proud of producing consistently high-quality work
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- A genuine team player
- Interested in developing with a growing local company
We're probably not the right fit for someone who wants to arrive, complete only the tasks assigned to them and go home. We're looking for someone who wants to become part of the operation and contribute to the success of the wider team.
