Duties

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment to ensure safety and well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance quality of life




- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repositioning
- Document care activities accurately in client records and communicate any changes in health or behavior to supervising staff

Qualifications

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration and safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support as needed
- Strong caregiving skills paired with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as required
- Valid certifications in caregiving or relevant health care training are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is appreciated
