Role Description The Child and Youth Care Worker – Rural Alberta is a full-time, on-site role based in Stony Plain, AB and Barrhead, AB. This role involves supervising parent-child visits, ensuring safety, and facilitating positive, age-appropriate interactions in accordance with agency protocols. The worker documents observations and incidents, prepares clear visit reports, and communicates relevant information to supervisors and partnering agencies. Day-to-day tasks include supporting children’s emotional needs, modeling healthy communication,
and guiding parents on strategies that promote consistent and meaningful contact. The role also involves collaborating with community services, participating in team meetings, receiving ongoing training, and assisting with program activities that strengthen family resilience and connection.
