About REACH School

REACH School is a unique regional program within the Riverside School Board, offering an alternate educational program specifically designed to support students with special needs. Located in Saint-Lambert, REACH serves students from across the Riverside territory and is the only English public school for students with special needs in the Greater Montreal area. REACH has three campuses in Saint-Lambert: REACH Green, REACH Queen, and its newest campus, REACH Berkley. Together, these campuses provide specialized learning environments where students can develop their academic, social, emotional, and life skills in a supportive and inclusive setting.

REACH School is looking for qualified Special Education Technicians (SETs) and Attendants for Students with Special Needs to join our dedicated teams across our three Saint-Lambert campuses. We are looking for compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused individuals who are passionate about supporting students with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential. Qualifications

Special Education Technician (SET)

- Hold a three-year Technical DEC in Special Care Counselling or Special Education Techniques, or a related bachelor’s degree (e.g., Psychology, or a related field).
- Experience working with students with special needs is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students with diverse needs.

Attendant for Students with Special Needs

- Relevant experience working with children or students with special needs is considered an asset.
- Experience providing personal care, assistance, or support to students is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient, compassionate, and attentive to students’ individual needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, special education technicians, and other members of the school team.

Salary

Special Education Technician (SET)

- Salary range: $28.40- $40.88 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
- Position governed by the applicable collective agreement.

Attendant for Students with Special Needs

- Salary range: $25.08- $26.75 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
- Position governed by the applicable collective agreement.
