We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ mental health needs, including those related to pediatrics and special education requirements
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based counselling techniques and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate closely with medical teams, case managers, educators, and families to coordinate holistic patient care and support services
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes to inform ongoing care strategies and contribute to research initiatives
- Provide support for patients with hospital experiences or those requiring specialized mental health interventions in pediatric or medical settings
- Educate patients, families, and staff about mental health topics, coping strategies, and available resources
Experience
- Strong background in case management, patient care, and data collection related to mental health services
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare protocols relevant to clinical counselling in medical environments
- Knowledge of special education practices and how they intersect with mental health support for students or young patients
