We are seeking a Power System Engineering Technologist (P.L. Eng.) with a strong foundation in electrical engineering technology. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of relevant experience related to engineering and modeling high voltage transmission systems. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver accurate modeling data and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and submit comprehensive transmission modeling data packages
• Validate existing transmission-system models and ensure accuracy




• Create line-impedance calculations and facility-rating reports
• Maintain compliance with AESO ISO Rules and Alberta Reliability Standards
• Provide system capacity assessments and analysis for projects
Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma required
• Qualified Licensee (P.L. Eng.) designation or eligibility
• Minimum six years relevant engineering experience
• Preference for candidates with two years experience in modeling
• Focus on power systems considered an asset
