Basic Requirements

- Baccalaureate of Science or Nutrition related discipline from a University of recognized standing;
- Completed post graduate Dietetic Internship or integrated training recognized by Dietitians of Canada;
- Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario;
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology;
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic nutrition and education techniques;
- Ability to supervise/lead/coach/mentor;
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Sound judgement and problem solving skills;
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary/inter-qualified setting;
- Must be eligible to work in Canada;
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).





The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English-speaking clients.

Preferred Qualifications

- Member of Dietitians of Canada;
- Experience with multidisciplinary team approach, program development, education of health team members;
- Experience in cardiac patient population;
