The Registered
Nurse will be vital in maintaining Breastfeeding Friendly Initiative status through education and coaching. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience in maternal-infant care, demonstrating commitment to family-centered solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient lactation consultations
- Develop care plans for families requiring feeding assistance
- Lead initiatives to maintain BFI status
- Coach staff on breastfeeding best practices
- Support follow-up for neonates at risk for jaundice Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- NRP Certification and BCLS required
- Three years' experience in Mother Baby Unit
- Expertise in patient teaching and adult learning principles
