Elevate pediatric health care as a Registered Practical Nurse at CHEO in Ottawa. As a vital member of CHEO’s nursing team, the Registered Practical Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
You will work autonomously and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective clinic operations. Your expertise in pediatric care will impact the lives of children and youth across the region. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ conditions based on lab and clinical data
- Assist with procedures and monitor patients pre and post
- Administer medications according to the practice scope
- Provide instructions and emotional support to patients
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with CHEO policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years pediatric experience preferred
- Current registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario
- BCLS certification required
- Medication administration course completed
- Bilingual in French and English essential
