We are seeking an Intermediate Risk Management Specialist specializing in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) to support a federal client in Winnipeg on a 5-month contract .

The successful candidate will conduct Workplace Hazard Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) identify workplace hazards, assess risk levels, and recommend appropriate control measures to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace hazard assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Interview employees and stakeholders to understand job tasks, work environments, and equipment usage.
• Identify, assess, and classify workplace hazards.
• Evaluate risk levels using established risk assessment methodologies.
• Develop and recommend hazard control and risk mitigation measures.
• Prepare JHA documentation, reports,
  
  
  
  and safety recommendations.
• Coordinate assessment activities with client representatives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation (mandatory).
• Experience in workplace Hazard Assessment and job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Strong analytical, interviewing, and report-writing skills.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in office in Winnipeg.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance.
