The Associate Consultant will be responsible for managing Group Annuity administration activities for various plans and play a role in managing client relationships. The successful candidate brings consultative skills, project leadership, pension and legislative knowledge to the role as well as the ability to apply best practices to successfully support the Group Annuity Administration Team.ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain excellent relations with client contactsParticipate in client meetings, as requiredEnsure the team provides top-quality services to clientsProvide relevant information to clients on administrative issues and legislative requirementsCoordinate full spectrum of admin related services including web tools and call centre servicesUse knowledge of client contract and scope of services for invoicing purposesEscalate operational issues to Service Delivery Manager to help find solutions in a timely mannerSubject Matter ExpertiseVerify benefit calculations, annual statements and other relevant reports in accordance with pension plan rules and applicable legislationReview annual statements for compliance and consult with client regarding any custom changesManage potential escalations effectively for timely resolution; participate in system testing and ensure testing protocols are followedIdentify process improvement initiatives, present solutions to internal stakeholders and implement changes, where feasibleAttend internal training sessions to continue building knowledge of industry topics and trendsProject ManagementManage daily and year-end functions,



ensuring resources are assigned, deliverables are met and risks are identified and mitigated to meet internal standards and service level requirementsLead special projects, as requiredCollaborate with resources in other departmentsTalent Management and CoachingFunction as a team leader, overseeing work of other team membersConduct annual performance reviews and provide performance feedback on a regular basisAct as a mentor, supporting growth and development of other team membersConduct training sessionsQualificationsFive - seven years of related DB Pension Administration experiencePost-secondary education; CEBS or PPAC designation is an assetAn independent, detail oriented, highly organized, accountable individual willing to take initiative and manage competing prioritiesStrong knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislationExceptional customer focus with solid professional acumenExcellent communication, project management, presentation and negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal, leadership and team building skillsProficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with pension administration softwareBilingualism (English and French) is an assetSalary$65,000 - $90,000.



Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
