This position involves client interactions in a Drop-In Center setting, focusing on promoting a secure environment. You'll assist in case management, document important client information, and build rapport with clients. The role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to anti-racism and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate orientation for clients at the Drop-In Center
• Provide crisis counseling and one-on-one support
• Record client information accurately in systems
• Organize community clubs and initiatives for client involvement
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility
Requirements:
• College diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years experience with homeless populations
• Understanding of women's issues and mental health
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid Driver’s License is an asset
