Collections Specialist

Rate: $35-40/hr

Contract: 3 months

Location: Toronto, ON – 9 Channel Nine Court

Work Model: Onsite – 5 days/week initially

Start: September 21, 2026

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, collect outstanding balances and resolve account discrepancies. The role requires robust client communication, account reconciliation and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage collections activities for an assigned portfolio of accounts.
• Communicate with clients, primarily by email, regarding outstanding balances.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate payment resolution.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Work with Sales, Accounts Receivable, Billing and other internal teams to resolve account issues.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and account status.
• Escalate outstanding issues as required.
  
  
  
  

Must-Have Requirements

• 2+ years of Collections experience.
• Strong account reconciliation experience.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working with clients and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

• Collections experience within the broadcast/media industry.
• Experience managing a portfolio of commercial accounts.

Additional Details

• Initial requirement is 5 days onsite , with the work arrangement potentially reviewed following training and assessment.
• Interview process consists of two virtual interviews.
