Support after-school childcare initiatives as an Early Learning Assistant with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board in Ontario. This role focuses on enhancing child-based play and appropriate behavior modeling.
As a term Early Learning Assistant, you’ll work closely with an Early Childhood Educator, providing childcare services for school-aged children in a nurturing setting. You will guide and encourage children during after-school hours, professional activity days, and school breaks while fulfilling program goals. Your passion for education will play a critical role in supporting student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering childcare to students after school
• Enhance child-based play activities and learning




• Encourage and model appropriate behavior techniques
• Support overall program objectives and goals
• Help in organizing activities during school breaks
Requirements:
• High School diploma completion
• One year experience in childcare for school-aged children
• Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification
• Police Record Check for the Vulnerable sector
• Immunization Record with MMR and Tdap
