This temporary full-time position starts on October 13, 2026, and ends on June 11, 2027. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Education and recent elementary teaching experience. You will facilitate learning for diverse students, including those with Individual Education Plans, and embrace First Nations' knowledge in your teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver inclusive curriculum tailored for diverse learning needs • Implement effective classroom management strategies • Develop Individual Educational Plans in collaboration with staff • Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment • Adapt lesson plans to enhance early literacy and numeracy development
Requirements: • Bachelor of Education or equivalent • Recent experience in elementary education • Robust understanding of First Nations educational perspectives • Ability to apply differentiated instruction effectively • Criminal Record Check and Yukon Teacher Certification required
