CMHA Kelowna & District seeks a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician for its Foundry Kelowna team. This casual role involves clinical counseling and solution-focused care for youth.
You will provide assessments and support services Monday to Friday, with extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The role requires a Master's degree and at least two years of counseling experience. Key responsibilities include using evidence-based modalities, facilitating group therapy, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver integrated care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual treatment using CBT, mindfulness, and DBT
• Facilitate group therapy workshops and psychosocial care
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for care planning
• Mentor other team members and practicum students
• Assist clients with navigation and referrals
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling Psychology
• Minimum 2 years of counseling experience
• Criminal Record Check clearance required
• Excellent communication skills with youth and families
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical assessment tools
