Role: Reporting and Analytics Analyst

Start date: As soon as possible.

Duration: 12 months.

Location of Work (Address or City, Province): Fredericton, NB

Responsibilities:

- In coordination with the Manager, develops the tools, templates and processes required to execute the research and analysis activities;

- Support data management activities to ensure quality and stewardship;

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data, figures, and tables;

- Support operationalization of new processes, recommend system, and process adjustments;

- Responsible for the delivery of reporting services, leveraging both automation techniques and manual reporting;

- Understand and deliver complex, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc report analytics requests leveraging analytics expertise;

- Ensure compliance with government policies, procedures and security standards;

- Assist in the training of new branch resources;

- Work with existing team members to ensure a knowledge transfer at end of the assignment;

- Attend and participate in team and project meetings.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

- A University degree in Applied Data Science, Data and Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting or similar disciplines is preferred, however, an equivalent of education and experience may be considered.

- A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated reporting and analytics experience using large datasets for large enterprises or organizations.

- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in financial services, consulting, or technology specially in business process management or data management.

- Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in English.





- The candidate must be available to start work on or about the date specified in Section 8 of the SOW.

- Must be available to work in Fredericton, NB upon assignment of contract.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- 5+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in analysis of healthcare data or working in a healthcare economics in a Canadian context - preference given for demonstrated experience in pharmacy related IT programs and drug insurance plans. Please provide examples of both project and operations related work.

- 5+ years of demonstrated advanced programming proficiency and data processing abilities (using tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, SAS and languages such as VBA, Python, and SQL).

- 8+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency with a variety of on-premises relational databases, preference given for SQL Server.

- 3+ years of demonstrated experience with cloud databases such as with Azure ETL and Analytic Services.

- 3+ years of demonstrated experience with automation of data analysis including data cleaning, transformation, statistical analysis, and reporting.

- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering functional reporting solutions with the ability to compile, analyze, present and translate findings from analytics to concrete suggestions for business opportunities and to facilitate decision-making for senior leadership including reports, visualizations, and dashboards.

- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in documenting processes, workflows, and other design development.

- 6+ years of demonstrated experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy as it pertains to databases and application design and development.

- Demonstrated experience with at least one (1) implemented enterprise-level data analytics project (e.g., testing or auditing) would be an asset.
