CNL is seeking a Mechanical Technologist, Design (New Grad) to work onsite at our Chalk River Laboratory. Collaborate with experienced designers to create mechanical equipment, resolve design challenges, and enhance your practical engineering skills. Your work will involve generating detailed drawings, conducting troubleshooting, and handling assembly tasks aligned with environmental advancements.

Key Responsibilities:



• Design mechanical equipment and tooling with detailed drawings • Diagnose and resolve design problems during testing and manufacturing • Conduct hands-on assembly and mechanical testing as needed • Perform component sizing calculations and select hardware • Contribute to technical documentation for designed equipment

Requirements: • College Diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent • Experience in design and development considered an asset • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Autodesk Inventor • Sound understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing • Ability to communicate design ideas effectively through organized drawings
