High School Math & Science Tutor (Grades 9-12) Do you love helping teens feel capable, confident, and less overwhelmed in challenging courses like Grade 12 Biology and Chemistry? Oxford Learning North York – Lawrence Plaza is looking for a supportive, knowledgeable High School Math & Science Tutor who combines strong STEM skills with excellent oral communication and a genuine passion for working with students. This is more than just content delivery — it’s about helping students believe they can succeed.

Who You Are You’re someone who:

Explains complex Math and Science concepts clearly and patiently

Has robust knowledge of Grades 9–12 Math,

Communicates confidently and professionally

Builds rapport easily and makes students feel comfortable asking questions

Understands that encouragement and mindset matter just as much as marks

You enjoy seeing the “lightbulb moment” — and you know how to guide students there.

Required Availability

Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM

A consistent weekly schedule is required.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field





Fourth-year university students with strong tutoring experience welcome

OCT certification is an asset

Experience & Skills

Experience tutoring or teaching high school Math and Science

Strong proficiency in senior-level Biology and Chemistry

Comfortable guiding up to 3 students at a time

Strong interpersonal skills and natural leadership presence

Use our structured, pre-designed curriculum (no lesson planning required)

Help students prepare for tests, exams, and post-secondary expectations

Provide feedback and encouragement after each session
