Coast Claims is seeking a motivated
Multi-Line Adjuster
who wants to expand their expertise and develop a rewarding specialty in the growing field of
Marine Claims . This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with property, casualty, marine, mechanical, boating, or marine trades experience who is eager to work on unique and complex losses that few adjusters have the opportunity to handle.
Working alongside some of Canada's most experienced marine adjusters, you'll receive hand-on mentorship, specialized training, and ongoing support as you build expertise in one of the industry's most interesting and in-demand specialties.
Whether you're already involved in marine claims or looking to leverage your marine knowledge into a professional adjusting career, Coast Claims offers a clear path for growth and advancement.
What You'll Do
Investigate property, casualty, and marine insurance claims.
Conduct site inspections, witness interviews, and detailed fact-finding investigations.
Review policy wording and determine coverage, liability, and applicable limits.
Assess damages and collaborate with contractors, surveyors, marine experts, engineers, and other specialists.
Prepare clear, concise,
and professional reports for our insurance clients.
Negotiate fair and timely settlements while delivering exceptional customer service.
Manage a diverse portfolio of files while meeting service standards and client expectations.
Develop trusted relationships with insurers, brokers, policyholders, and industry professionals.
Participate in ongoing marine claims training and mentorship programs.
What We're Looking For
Level 2 Adjuster's Licence (or ability to obtain and maintain licensing requirements).
CIP designation or active pursuit of CIP accreditation considered an asset.
Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience.
Strong property and casualty claim knowledge.
Excellent investigative, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Marine, boating, mechanical, vessel maintenance, or marine trades experience is highly valued.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive.
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel for field investigations when required.
