Nuclear Quality Assurance & Document Control Specialist (BH-284919)Location: Brantford, Canada | Sector: Engineering | Salary: 75,000.00 CAD to 80,000.00 CAD per annumAplin is partnering with a well-established Canadian manufacturer serving the nuclear industry to recruit aNuclear Quality Assurance & Document Control Specialist. This role focuses on documentation accuracy, quality systems administration, compliance management, and customer-facing quality records within a regulated manufacturing environment.The selected candidate will support the organization’s nuclear quality program, ensuring documentation, records, and quality processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards. The role requires collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to maintain compliance and support business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control & Records Management: Maintain, update, and control quality-related documents including procedures, work instructions, specifications, drawings, forms, and recordsEnsure document revisions follow established change control processes and are properly reviewed, approved, distributed, and archivedManage electronic document control systems, ensuring version control and secure accessReview material test reports (MTRs), certificates, inspection records, and other quality documentationCoordinate document transmittals between customers, suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teamsMaintain complete history dockets and final quality documentation packages for customer deliveryQuality Assurance Support: Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systemsMonitor compliance with quality requirements across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain functionsAssist with non-conformance reporting, corrective and preventive actions,
and document reviewsParticipate in internal and external quality audits and support audit preparation activitiesAssist in supplier documentation review and verificationNuclear Compliance & Traceability: Ensure documentation meets nuclear industry requirements for traceability, configuration management, and records retentionMaintain material traceability records, certificates of conformance, and inspection documentationSupport preparation of customer and regulatory documentation packagesVerify compliance with customer specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standardsAudit & Compliance Support: Support customer, regulatory, ISO, and nuclear quality auditsGather and organize objective evidence for audit activitiesAssist in audit preparation and maintain audit-ready documentation at all timesGain exposure to both internal and external audit processes in a nuclear manufacturing environmentCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure documentation accuracy and complianceProvide guidance on document control procedures and quality system requirementsAct as a resource for quality documentation and compliance-related inquiriesQualifications RequiredDiploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Technical Documentation, or a related fieldExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment (nuclear, aerospace, defence, pressure vessel, heavy industrial, etc.)Working knowledge of quality management systems and compliance standardsExperience in document control, quality documentation,
or records managementStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailAbility to interpret technical documents, drawings, codes, and specificationsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferredNuclear industry experienceFamiliarity with CSA N285, CSA N299, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, or similar standardsExperience in audited environmentsKnowledge of configuration management and traceability requirementsFamiliarity with engineering drawings and manufacturing documentationExperience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NavisionExposure to manufacturing, inspection, machining, or fabrication environmentsWhat Will Make You SuccessfulThe ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a structured, compliance-focused setting.
