About the Role
The Intermediate Mechanical/Plant Layout Designer will be responsible for preparing clear, complete, detailed, and accurate drawing packages from concept stage through to Issued for Construction (IFC). The role will lead assigned project design work and contribute to the implementation of standards and best practices that support drawing quality and consistency.
A solid understanding of plant layout, mechanical and piping design and drafting techniques, and engineering terminology is required. The successful candidate will have a robust drafting background and experience working with 2D and 3D design tools to develop practical, coordinated project drawings and models.
The role works closely with Project Engineers, designers, vendors, contractors, and clients throughout the design process, including drawing development, design reviews, equipment coordination, site verification, and preparation of project documentation.
This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario. Denea has adopted a hybrid work model, with associates expected to work from the office a minimum of three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. Site visits and field verification will be required as needed to support project requirements.
Experience in the food industry is considered a definite asset.
