Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced
Transportation Engineer
to join their Edmonton team. The role focuses on
highways, roads, rehabilitation projects, and transportation infrastructure , with opportunities to contribute across the full project lifecycle—from site investigations and design through tender documentation, construction management, and inspection.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Alberta transportation projects and the ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site investigations and develop designs for road and transportation infrastructure projects.
Prepare technical studies, cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and construction drawings.
Support road rehabilitation projects for
Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors .
Assist with construction supervision, contract administration, and construction inspection.
Perform QA/QC reviews of reports, quantity estimates, designs, and construction documentation.
Ensure project designs comply with applicable company and client standards, procedures, and requirements.
Collaborate with Technologists, Designers, Engineers, contractors,
and other project stakeholders.
Contribute to technical leadership, project management, and client management activities based on career goals and experience.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in
Civil Engineering
from an accredited post-secondary institution.
4+ years of transportation engineering experience.
Experience with
Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors
projects.
Registered Professional Engineer ( P.Eng. ) with
APEGA .
Strong knowledge of transportation engineering, road design, and project delivery.
Experience in construction supervision and contract administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Valid driver's licence.
Willingness and ability to travel within Canada.
