Position Summary

The Production Labourer is responsible for branding, framing, inspecting and preparing product for treatment.

Principal Responsibilities

- General labour - processing/manufacturing wood products
- Operate chainsaw, hand tools, tag, clean and prepare products
- Operate mill equipment
- Banding/packaging
- Maintain tools, equipment, supplies and work areas.
- Working outside in all weather conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

- Manufacturing or construction experience preferred
- Experience utilizing hand tools-drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, tape measures etc.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Always demonstrate a strong focus on safety.
- Support a respectful setting and works well in a team setting.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Ability to lift 50-75lbs continually.
- Knowledge of wood products and defects.
- Able to learn and acquire new skills.
- Additional forestry skills such as log scaling, loader operator, log peeling and other machine operations will be valuable assets in progressing to other positions in the yard.
- In house training is provided.
