Covenant House Vancouver is seeking a dedicated Laundry Worker to join its Operations Team. This position ensures laundry is safely managed while also performing daily cleaning tasks. You will support vulnerable youth in a supportive workplace and confront challenges related to their complex needs, making self-awareness and care essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate laundry machines for facility needs
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks efficiently
• Maintain janitorial log at the end of each shift
• Prepare weekly orders for cleaning supplies
• Advise on necessary building maintenance
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• WHMIS Certificate required
• Two years of related experience
• Preferred vocational or professional certificate
• Beneficial to have electrical/plumbing apprenticeship experience
