The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the position of Rink Monitor / Recreation Programmer in the Community & Recreation Services Department.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor Recreation Programs & Events Rink Monitor / Recreation Programmer is responsible for the delivery of quality recreation program instruction, on-ice skate monitoring during public skate, as well as tracking public skating admission.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

- Completed Ontario Secondary School Grade 10 education or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.
- Candidates must have three (3)



months experience working in the sports/recreation field along with a minimum of one (1) year experience ice skating.
- The preferred candidate will have experience in teaching Art, Sports, Dance, Fitness, Yoga, Zumba, Spin, Piano and Guitar instruction.
- Candidates with experience in Day Camp environment and bilingualism (French and English) would be considered an asset.
- In addition, candidates must be able to work in a team setting, have good time management skills and be reliable to work under minimal supervision.
- Preference will be given to qualified candidates who possess or willing to obtain First Aid/CPR and Defibrillator certification and High Five Principles of Child Development training.
