Our client, a healthcare organization, is looking to hire an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Fort Nelson, BC The Emergency Room RN will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced emergency department workplace. This role requires advanced clinical competency, the ability to work independently with limited support, and strong decision‑making skills—especially as the RN will work with LPN back‑up. The ideal candidate will possess solid ER experience, strong assessment skills, and certifications required for emergency and high‑acuity patient care.
Pay Rate Range: 56-65 CAD/hr, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions.
- Perform rapid assessments, triage patients, and initiate appropriate interventions according to CTAS guidelines.
- Respond efficiently to medical emergencies and provide stabilization as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in alignment with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support effective patient care.
- Monitor patient status, anticipate complications, and act decisively in high‑pressure situations.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the care process.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current practicing registration in the applicable provincial regulatory body.
- Proven Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.
- Required Certifications: ACLS, CTAS, PEWS.
- Must be comfortable working in the ER setting with LPN back‑up.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in high‑acuity and rural emergency settings.
