Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Robotics Instructor / STEM Teacher, where you'll ignite curiosity and inspire young minds through engaging robotics and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. This paid position offers a fantastic chance to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children of various ages. Duties
- The successful candidate will:
- Conduct robotics sessions according to the academy curriculum.
- Teach students the principles of Robotics, Electronics, Coding, and robot structural design.
- Guide students through hands-on building, programming, and problem-solving activities.
- Follow academy procedures for attendance tracking, student evaluation, and reporting.
- Conduct assessments, tests, and evaluate student work.
- Support students during classes and help them achieve learning goals.
- Communicate and coordinate with parents regarding student progress.
- Create an engaging, positive, and safe learning environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children in educational settings, especially in STEM or robotics programs
- Strong background in early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts in an accessible manner
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and developmental levels
- Passion for inspiring young learners through hands-on activities and interactive lessons
- Experience working with children in a classroom or extracurricular environment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for robotics, technology, and innovative teaching methods
QualificationsRequired
- Ability to acquire and effectively teach the robotics curriculum.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer programming knowledge.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a classroom environment.
Preferred
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
- Experience with robotics platforms such as LEGO Robotics, VEX Robotics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar.
- Experience working with children in educational, camp, tutoring, or mentoring environments.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Scratch, Python, Blockly, or C++.

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
