Education:

• College diploma, technical training, or degree in electronics, computer systems, networking, information technology, computer engineering, or related technical field

Experience:

• Experience with electronic security systems considered an asset
• Experience with integrated security systems considered an asset
• Experience with commercial or industrial security environments considered an asset
• Experience with commercial security system platforms including access control and IP surveillance systems considered an asset

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• Assist with installation, configuration, servicing, and maintenance of integrated electronic security systems
• Support setup and troubleshooting of IP video surveillance systems and network-connected security devices
• Assist with installation and servicing of access control systems including Kantech systems
• Support alarm system programming and troubleshooting
• Perform basic network configuration and connectivity troubleshooting for integrated security systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system communication issues
• Assist with service and maintenance of low-voltage security systems
• Maintain service documentation and technical records
• Provide technical support and customer assistance as required
• Support commercial, industrial, and residential customer environments
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with company and customer requirements

Technical Skills:

• Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Low-voltage systems knowledge
• Technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work with network-connected security devices
• Familiarity with access control and IP surveillance systems considered an asset

Security and Safety:

• Criminal record check
• Valid driver’s licence

Transportation / Travel Information:

• Travel to customer locations required
• Company vehicle may be provided for work-related travel
