Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 04: $1,953.70 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.DutiesTo prepare a variety of food items for cafeteria, café, catering for staff, students, clients and the general public while ensuring Food Safe, Food Sanitation and Safety Plans are met, performs duties in a manner that creates a positive service experience for all Food Services customers.Prepare food items as required and in accordance with kitchen duty check lists, Food Safe Food Sanitation and Safety PlansOpen/close cafeteria as required and prioritize daily work tasks in accordance with established duty check lists and proceduresEnsure food station is set up and maintained following proper Food Safe guidelines and Food Sanitation and Safety PlansInteract with customers using customer service skills in short order/catering settings as required.Support all Food Service functionsAssist with receiving and validating deliveries of food items and supplies, check for damage, quantity and quality, store in appropriate areas using Food Secure guidelinesSetup, operate, cash out till as requiredOperate catering vehicles as required for food pickup, delivery, etc. including transportation of staff, students as requiredUtilize Catering Calendar to ensure successful preparation and delivery of catering/food service eventsOperate kitchen equipment (dishwashers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, etc.) and use slicers, choppers, and a variety of kitchen knives with speed and repetitive motion to prepare food itemsMaintain cleaning supplies and perform general kitchen cleaning dutiesQualificationsSuccessful completion of Grade 12Professional Cook Level 1 requiredMinimum of two years in a food services environmentClass 5 Driving LicenceAbility to lift over 40 lbs#J-18808-Ljbffr
