Legacy Decks Ottawa is a growing Ottawa company with strong Google customer reviews and a portfolio of completed decks, fences, and outdoor living projects giving you real work and customer feedback to share confidently with homeowners.

We build decks, fences, and outdoor living spaces. You’ll guide customers from their first inquiry through the site assessment, estimate, signed agreement, and handoff to our construction team.

This position suits someone who brings enthusiasm to conversations, follows through consistently, and takes pride in both winning business and getting the details right.

What you’ll do

- Respond promptly to incoming leads and qualify their project, budget, timing, and needs.
- Meet homeowners on site, understand their vision, and collect accurate measurements, photos, and project details.
- Prepare estimates using our pricing catalog, estimating checklist, and software.
- Present material and design options, explain the scope clearly, and help customers make confident decisions.
- Handle objections professionally, ask for the sale, and follow up consistently.
- Generate additional opportunities through referrals and neighbourhood outreach around our projects.
- Keep customer records, estimates, and next steps organized and current.
- Coordinate signed agreements and deposits, then deliver a complete project package to the owner or production manager.

You’ll work directly with the owner for training, estimate reviews, and approval of discounts or unusual projects.

Who we’re looking for

- Demonstrated sales experience, ideally in home improvement,



construction, renovation, or another role involving considered purchases.
- An enthusiastic, curious approach to learning about customers and their needs.
- Confidence discussing project budgets, answering concerns, and asking for a commitment.
- Robust follow-up habits, attention to detail, and personal accountability.
- Comfort with measurements, basic calculations, and learning estimating software.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local appointments.
- Availability for some evening and weekend appointments.

Construction knowledge is an asset. We provide training on our products, estimating process, and assessment standards.
