This position is responsible for hydrogeological investigations to support multi-disciplinary projects in a variety of fields, including aggregate resource monitoring and compliance, construction dewatering assessments and permitting, private septic system and water well feasibility studies, and supporting Tatham’s municipal and land development projects. This role serves as Project Manager and provides support for multiple projects and will assist with mentoring junior staff, business development, and preparing proposals.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supervision and coordination of hydrogeological field programs including borehole drilling and monitoring well installation programs, test pitting, borehole permeability testing, pumping tests, Guelph permeameter testing, collection of surface water and groundwater samples and levels, and collection of surface water flowsDesign and complete hydrogeological assessments in support of land development/municipal projects and for various approvals, including Permit To Take Water and the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry,



and MECP D-5-5 / D-5-4 assessments.Design and complete excess soil assessments including Assessment of Past Use, Sampling and Analysis Plan, Soil Characterization Reports, Excess Soil Destination Assessment Report, and Soil Tracking.Analyze groundwater, surface water and soil chemistry dataInterpret hydrogeological data to support conceptual groundwater model developmentAssist with the completion of water balance and water budget analysis and assessmentsComplete Reasonable Use assessment using mass balance and nutrient dilution calculationsAssist to mentor and develop junior staffIdentify project opportunities in existing and new project areasPrepare work plans and proposals to acquire workKey Position RequirementsUndergraduate Degree (B.Sc.) in Geoscience or Civil/Environmental Engineering with a focus on Hydrogeology, Masters Degree (M.S.C) in Hydrogeology or related discipline considered an assetEligible to register as a P.Geo. or P.Eng.Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in hydrogeology, geoscience or related disciplineTeam-oriented, self-motivated and safety consciousAbility to work independently in both field and office environments with strong attention to detail and organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong technical, verbal, and written communication skills (English)
