Title: Senior AWS Cloud Backend Engineer

Location: Toronto ,Ontario

Duration: 6 Months We are seeking a talented and experienced AWS Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web services and APIs on Amazon Web Services. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing cloud-native applications that support our digital platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6-8 years of experience in web service development on AWS
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Node.js
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFormation
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture using SNS, SQS, or EventBridge
- Experience with Git, CICD tools, and automated testing frameworks
- Solid understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with serverless applications using AWS SAM or the Serverless Framework




- Knowledge of infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience in monitoring and optimizing application performance using observability tools

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Design and develop RESTful APIs using AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway
- Implement authentication and authorization using enterprise APIs
- Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
- Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards
