Pay Details The base salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 annually.

The Specialist, Field Representative is responsible for supporting the Terminal Manager in the efficient, safe, and profitable delivery of service to our customers in an assigned designated region. The Specialist, Field Representative is accountable for overseeing the integration of new and supervision of existing drivers to ensure work performance aligns with Trimac safety and operational excellence and standards. This role reports to the Terminal Manager and interacts with Drivers, Dispatchers, Service Centers, and internal departments including Management, Safety, People & Culture, and key contacts with local customers.
Responsibilities This position is responsible for:
Building and maintaining relationships with Customers and Drivers
Conducting regular site visits with Customers and Drivers
Identifying new business opportunities with existing Customers
Ensuring site-specific orientation, Safe Work Permits are current and compliant for existing Customers and communicated to Drivers
Setting up site-specific orientation with recent Customers and Drivers
Creating and maintaining location maps and journey management packages
Attending ongoing Customer and operations meetings including safety
Conducting Field Level Risk Assessments and communicating results
Troubleshooting issues regarding service deviations and direct Customer concerns as they arise with both Drivers and Operations
As required, gather completed signed tickets (Bill of Ladings BOL) from customer sites
Reviewing, assessing, and approving performance, and requirements of new Drivers post orientation
Liaise with Area Manager in the hiring, performance, and termination process for Drivers
Managing general day-to-day office operations
Providing accurate information on resource and equipment needs
Assisting and supporting Company Dispatch
Ensuring all safe work practices are being monitored and implemented
Coordinating Drug & Alcohol processes including pre-hire and post-incident
Responding, conducting, and investigating incidents in collaboration with Area Manager and HSSE
Communicating mandatory attendance at Quarterly Safety meetings
Being accountable for the supply and distribution of appropriate PPE
Participating in safety lanes in coordination with HSSE
Following up with Drivers on all required and ongoing compliance documentation
Champion, train, assist and troubleshoot the utilization of Company-specific technology
On-Call per schedule
Being flexible and adaptable to complete site-specific duties and tasks as required
Qualifications
Must have a Class 1 license / Class A Commercial License
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Approximately 3 years of relevant experience either in a similar role or gained through formal apprenticeships
