What you will be doing:
Minor repairs on conveyers and automated equipment to keep running during shift
Analyses and diagnoses customer equipment problems and breakdowns
Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the customer’s equipment
Performs scheduled equipment maintenance per customer contract
Follows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company
Documents each service call, providing the necessary paperwork
Observes all safety procedures, and makes certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed
Oncall weekends
Other duties as required and assigned
For food accounts, the incumbent is responsible for reporting food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training in mechanical or electrical specialty
Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance
Experience with automated machinery, hand and power tools, lifts, conveyer systems and hoists
Possesses a forklift, reach and/or order picker PIT licence
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to communicate to various stakeholders
