This role willhelp build andscale a commercialDeal Desk functionwithin a fast-growing B2B SaaSenvironment.
You’ll work atthe intersection ofSales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operationson complex,high-impact commercialdecisions.
The position combineshands-on dealexecution with processdesign, governance, andcontinuous improvement.
You’ll help salesteams navigate sophisticatedpricing,contracting, quoting, andapproval requirements withconfidence.
There is significantopportunity to introduceautomation and AIto streamline quote-to-cash workflowsand reduce manualeffort.
Success will requirestrong commercial judgment, analytical thinking, andthe ability toinfluence stakeholderswithout formal authority.
This is a remote North American role supporting teams across the United States and Canada, within-person onboardingin Toronto.
Accountabilities
- Partner with enterprisesales leaders, Finance, Legal, and RevenueOperations to structureand execute complex, non-standard, andhigh-impact commercialdeals.
- Advise stakeholders onpricing, discounting,contract terms, amendments, renewals, co-terms, ramps, bundled products, and other commercialconsiderations.
- Review and processdeal submissions inSalesforce CPQ/RevenueCloud, ensuring quotesand contracts areaccurate, complete, andready for approvaland invoicing.
- Help establish andscaleDeal Desk foundations, including intake processes, approval routing, discountgovernance,
exception handling, service-level agreements, andoperational documentation.
- Create practical playbooks, training resources, officehours, and guidancethat enable salesteams to navigatecommercial processes andquoting tools effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows throughautomation, AI tools, and CPQ configuration, collaborating with technicalteams to implementscalable solutions.
- Analyze deal dataand KPIs toidentify bottlenecks, improvedeal quality, and recommend changes thatsupport efficient andsustainable revenue growth.
- Continuously improve commercialprocesses, policies, anddocumentation while balancingcustomer and sellerneeds with pricingdiscipline, revenue integrity, and business risk.
Requirements
- 4+ years ofexperience in DealDesk, Revenue Operations, Commercial Finance, or a related functionwithin a B2BSaaS environment.
- Hands-on experiencewith Salesforce CRMand Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, includingthe ability to troubleshoot complex quotingand cross-objectissues.
- Strong understanding ofcommercial deal structures, including ARR, multi-year agreements, amendments, renewals, co-terms, ramps, stub billing, bundled products, anddiscounting.
- Demonstrated ability tobuild and improveprocesses, documentation, approval workflows, andcommercial policies inevolving organizations.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the abilityto balance customerand seller prioritiesagainst pricing discipline, revenue integrity, andbusiness risk.
- Excellent written andverbal communication skills, with the abilityto explain complexcommercial concepts clearlyand influence stakeholderswithout formal authority.
- Experience using AI, automation, or workflowtechnologies to reducemanual work andimprove quote-to-cash operations ispreferred.
- Adaptability, curiosity,robust problem-solvingskills, and the ability to thrivein a fast-paced workplace withambiguity and changingpriorities.
