Covenant House is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker for its Anti Human Trafficking team with responsibilities that involve specialized counseling and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of activities including ongoing assessments, safety planning, and maintaining the well-being of young women in care. This critical role requires compassion, communication skills, and teamwork to ensure a safe, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ongoing assessments of youth needs • Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention • Assist youth with routines and sleep hygiene • Advocate for youth in various settings • Perform documentation and ensure accuracy
Requirements: • Degree or diploma in child and youth work • Two years of experience in a residential setting • Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues • First Aid and CPR certifications preferred • Strong communication skills and crisis management ability
