Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Senior Manager - Information Technology & Business Security to join our team in Ottawa, ON. Reporting to the Global Head of IT, this role is responsible for the effective operation, security, resilience, and continuous improvement of the organization's Canadian Information Systems Ecosystem and overall business security setting.

The role provides leadership for IT operations, cybersecurity, information security, business continuity, and security compliance within a Canadian defense and aerospace environment.

The position is accountable for managing the organization's full-service Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Canada and for ensuring compliance with applicable Canadian government and customer requirements, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), CPCSC, and related security obligations, and the safeguarding and storage of all Protected B data and documentation.

Your responsibilities in this role:

Information Systems & MSP Management

- Lead the operation, maintenance, security, and lifecycle management of the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and services.
- Own the relationship and performance of the full-service MSP, including service delivery, security, SLAs, incident escalation, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.
- Manage IT/security budgets, procurement, technology planning, projects, and third-party suppliers.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IS team, providing guidance, performance feedback, promoting health and safety and fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Identify and address development needs of team members, coaching them to enhance technical capabilities in alignment with the departmental and organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain appropriate IT policies, procedures, architecture, documentation, and technology roadmaps.

Business Security & Compliance

- Own and maintain the organization's overall security program, including information security, cybersecurity, access control, personnel and third-party security, and security awareness.
- Identify, assess, and manage security risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented, monitored, and continuously improved.
- Maintain compliance and readiness for Protected B, Controlled Goods, CPCSC, Canadian government security requirements, and customer/contractual obligations.
- Lead security assessments, audits,



incident response, remediation, and security reporting to senior management.
- Ensure security requirements are incorporated into new systems, projects, procurement, and business processes.

Business Continuity & Resilience

- Own the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) program in Canada, including backup, recovery, testing, and cyber-incident resilience.
- Ensure critical systems, information, and business processes have appropriate protection and recovery capabilities.

Business & Stakeholder Leadership

- Partner with global internal teams to align on operational standards and global technology strategies.
- Partner with business leaders to align technology and security with operational and strategic requirements.
- Provide clear advice to senior management on technology, security risks, compliance, and investment priorities.
- Promote a culture of security, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Apply if you have most of the following:

- 5+ years’ experience in a senior IT, Information Systems, cybersecurity, or information security management role, preferably in defence, aerospace, manufacturing, or another regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise/business security, risk management, security policies, incident response, audits, and compliance.
- Practical experience with Protected B, Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and CPCSC requirements is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading a team including mentoring and developing team members and ensuring effective team performance.
- Proven experience managing a full-service MSP or equivalent outsourced IT/security provider, including contracts, SLAs, performance, and security accountability.
- Experience with Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, cybersecurity, network/infrastructure security, identity and access management, and cloud/enterprise technologies.
- Experience managing IT/security budgets, projects, procurement,



and third-party suppliers.
- Knowledge of DND/Canadian defense requirements and aerospace environments is an asset.
- Relevant IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, project management, and vendor management skills.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
