Senior Product Engineer - Gate Valve Create design file, engineering bulletin for Stream-Flo Industries Gate Valve product lines. Prepare detailed drawings of parts, assemblies and related items. Perform diverse engineering activities involving product evolution and design.

Support project personnel for specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans and product testing. Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications. Provides engineering production support to machining, welding, assembly and other departments.

Provide technical support for field service, the customer, sales and manufacturing. Evaluate and report on new materials, technology and techniques for improving manufacturing and service of the product line. In coordination with the quality department, troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects, material review, warrantee issues and custom engineering requirements (NCIR’s). i.e. machining, test, assembly, etc.) Provides guidance to junior engineers and technical staff on technical issues, corporate policies, project management, and divisional objectives.

Ensuring compliance with safety principles applicable to the project. Identify and recommend processes for design improvement and innovation.



Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Technical Institute.

Proficient with and experience in the use of ANSI, ASME and ISO Drafting Techniques and Geometric Tolerance. Thorough knowledge of Stress Analysis. Thorough knowledge of the Development and Control of Design Documentation.

Proficient Technical

Writing. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables and situations where only limited standardization exists. Extensive customer relations and technical sales experience.
