Build the Foundations Behind British Columbia's Most Challenging Projects
Our client specializes land and marine based work for some of Western Canada's most technically challenging infrastructure and development projects.
As the land division continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex foundation and ground improvement projects from pre-construction through completion.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple deep foundation, ground improvement, and shoring projects. This role combines technical expertise with commercial leadership, requiring someone who understands both the engineering behind complex foundation systems and the business aspects of project delivery.
You'll work closely with clients, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple deep foundation, ground improvement, and shoring projects from award through closeout.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Lead project teams including superintendents, project coordinators, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Oversee project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, change orders, claims, and profitability.
- Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and construction methodologies.
- Manage procurement, subcontract administration, and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with owners, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Mentor junior project staff and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Registered, or eligible for registration, with EGBC or ASTTBC.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering deep foundation, ground improvement, or geotechnical construction projects.

- Driven piles
- Large-diameter drilled shafts
- DTH piling
- Screw piles
- Ground improvement systems
- Stone columns
- Timber compaction piling
- Earth retention systems
- Sheet piling
- Cofferdams
- Combi walls
- H-pile lagging systems
- Experience managing geotechnical construction, foundations, shoring, or earth retention projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following would be considered a strong asset:
- Ground improvement

- Design-build projects

- Industrial or commercial developments
Compensation & Advantages
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000
