As a Solution Architect / Designer, you will be responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions across enterprise banking platforms. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture and strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions across domains such as payments, lending, digital banking, and client servicing.
You will
Solution Design & Delivery
Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical designs for development and QA teams Design end-to-end solutions , including:
Application architecture Integration patterns (APIs, microservices, middleware) Data models and persistence strategies Infrastructure (cloud and on-prem)
Produce design artifacts
High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) Sequence, component, and deployment diagrams
Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (NFRs)
such as scalability, performance, availability, and resilience Enterprise Architecture & Integration
Lead design of complex, multi-system enterprise solutions Define and implement:
REST/SOAP APIs Event-driven and service-oriented architectures Establish integration patterns:
Synchronous vs asynchronous communication Messaging and streaming architectures
Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, governance, and architecture principles Stakeholder Collaboration
Business stakeholders for requirement clarification Enterprise architects for design alignment Engineering and QA teams for implementation support Facilitate design reviews, walkthroughs, and architecture governance sessions Communicate technical trade-offs and recommend optimal solutions Technology Strategy & Roadmap
Contribute to technology roadmaps (1–3 years)
aligned with business goals Drive adoption of:
Cloud-native architectures API-first and microservices strategies Automation and digital transformation initiatives
Leadership & Mentorship
Act as lead designer on large, complex initiatives Mentor developers, QA engineers, and junior designers Promote best practices in design, coding standards, and architecture patterns Risk, Security & Compliance
Enterprise security standards and frameworks Regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, PIPEDA) Design secure solutions using:
Authentication and authorization frameworks Encryption and data protection standards Identify, assess, and mitigate design risks early in the lifecycle

Technical Skills
Architecture & Design
Expertise in designing enterprise-grade distributed systems Strong knowledge of:
Microservices architecture (DDD, bounded contexts) Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Event-driven architecture Proficient in:
UML / C4 modeling techniques Design patterns (CQRS, Saga, Circuit Breaker, Adapter, Factory)
API & Integration
Strong experience designing
RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) SOAP services (legacy integrations) Hands-on with:
API gateways (Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management) Middleware/ESB (MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus) Expertise in:
Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Data formats (JSON, XML, Avro)
Cloud & Infrastructure
Experience with
AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS) Azure (AKS, App Services, Functions, Service Bus)
Strong understanding of
Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Hybrid cloud and on-prem integration
Design for
High availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery
Data & Persistence
Strong experience with
Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)
Expertise in
Data modeling (normalization/denormalization) Transaction management and consistency models
Exposure to
Data pipelines, ETL processes, and streaming architectures
Security & Compliance
Implementation of
