Job Summary

Rooh Hayathi is seeking an experienced Server to join our team. The ideal candidate must have previous restaurant serving experience and good knowledge of authentic Arabic cuisine, including traditional dishes and Mandhi. Candidates should have strong customer-service and communication skills, be able to explain menu items and recommend dishes, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Minimum 1 year of serving experience is required.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide professional table service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Have good knowledge of Arabic cuisine, Mandhi, and traditional Arabic dishes.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation styles to customers.
- Recommend dishes based on customer preferences.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to requests.
- Prepare tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Process bills and customer payments accurately.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Restock cutlery, glassware, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and restaurant service standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and other front-of-house staff.




- Handle customer concerns professionally and inform management when necessary.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of restaurant serving experience required.
- Good knowledge of authentic Arabic cuisine is required.
- Familiarity with Mandhi and traditional Arabic dishes is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in an Arabic or Middle Eastern restaurant is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain menu items and make recommendations to guests.
- Experience using a restaurant POS system is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, friendly, reliable, and punctual.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
