Position Title:Kitchen Cook / Sous-ChefReports To:ChefStatus:Part-time/Full-timePosition SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and reliable Kitchen Cook / Sous-Chef to work closely alongside our Head Chef in a fast-paced lodge kitchen environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food, teamwork, and creating quality dining experiences for guests.The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, kitchen organization, menu execution, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operationsPrepare and cook menu items to quality and presentation standardsSupport menu planning, specials, and seasonal featuresEnsure food preparation areas are clean, organized, and stockedFollow food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsAssist with inventory management and food storageHelp minimize food waste and maintain portion controlWork efficiently during busy service periodsCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest experiencesAssist with opening and closing kitchen dutiesQualifications & SkillsMinimum 3–5 years of progressive kitchen experience; supervisory experience an asset.Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Creativity in menu development and plating.Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.Robust organizational and time-management abilities.Working ConditionsFast-paced, high-heat kitchen environmentAbility to work efficiently and stay organized during busy service periodsEffective use of time during slower periods, including prep work, cleaning, stocking, and kitchen organizationStanding for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs may be requiredEvening, weekend, and holiday shifts required as part of the hospitality industryEmployee ExpectationsMaintain professionalism, punctuality, and a high standard of personal hygiene.Follow all company policies and health & safety regulations.Contribute positively to a team-focused and respectful kitchen environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $22.00 per hourWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
